About this project

A webproject for Timmer- & Schrijnwerken Lamerant, based in Belgium. Lamerant is a family business from Loker where a father and son work together to create beautiful woodwork. This was a very special project for me. It was the first time I built a website completely on my own for a real client, outside of my school assignments. Since the client is family, they gave me a lot of time and flexibility since I had to combine this project with my studies at Howest. I wanted to use this opportunity to try out some new technologies, so I ended up choosing Astro.js and Sanity. These tools make the website feel fast and allow the owners to easily upload new content of their work themselves. The quality of what Lamerant builds is top-notch and looks very modern. I wanted the website to reflect that same "premium" feel. Along the way, they even updated their visual style and logo to make sure the website and their brand looked fresh and professional. The final result is a clean, modern site which reflects and showcases their craftsmanship.
