2025

Bikestore was the final project for my Web Design & Development course (WDD) at Howest. Working in a team of four, we were tasked with building a partly functional webshop for a fictional bicycle retailer. The result is a clean, blue-themed platform focused on user experience and reliable e-commerce flow. Because this was a group effort, collaboration and version control were key. I contributed to both the frontend and the integration of Craft CMS. To handle the logic between the backend and our HTML, we used Twig, which allowed us to create dynamic templates efficiently. One of the most challenging but rewarding parts of this project was the integration of a real payment system. We used Mollie to handle transactions, ensuring that the checkout process was secure and professional. This project taught me a lot about working in a development team and the complexities of building a webshop from scratch.
